L.O.V.E.

This Valentine's Day was so special for us not only because it was our first as a married couple, but also our first with our little baby cupid (as I referred to her all day yesterday).  Though most newlyweds do not celebrate their first married Valentine's day by staying at home with a baby, we did...and we loved every minute of it.  I think Josh and I would both agree that having Issie has shown us a new level of love that we had not previously experienced.  Everyone tried to explain this feeling to us (those that have had kids), but you really have no idea until you become a parent yourself.  It is SO awesome.  It has also brought Josh and I even closer to each other.

Not only was yesterday special because it was Valentine's day...it was also Isabella's 2 month birthday!!! Yay we made it through all of the 12 a.m., 2 a.m., 4 a.m., 6 a.m. (...you get the idea) feedings as well as her first round of 2 month-old shots.  It has been challenging and scary but also so much fun at the same time.   She is finally sleeping through the night most of the time which helps a lot and makes the thought of going back to work in 2 weeks a little easier!  At her checkup last Saturday we learned that Issie now weighs almost 11 lbs, she is 23 inches tall, and her head circumference is in the 90th percentile of other babies her age!  So I think that means she is going to be reallyyy smart :)

It is crazy how quickly she is growing and it seems she does something new every day.  She loves to smile and kick her feet and is beginning to engage us more by making eye contact even from across the room.  Every time we have guests over she will fuss until she is sitting upright and facing everyone so she can be at the center of the action.  I can't wait watch her little personality emerge...every day I feel like we are getting to know each other more.

In other news...Josh and I are closing on our brand new townhome in Brentwood on March 30th!  We are so excited to have somewhere to call home and raise our little girl.  We will post pics as soon as it is finished.
