So sorry it has taken us so long to update the blog...we have been a little busy to say the least :)
For those of you I have not yet had a chance to talk with, I will start from the beginning. On December 14 I woke up feeling really uncomfortable and after a few hours of waiting it out, Josh and I decided to head to the hospital and check things out. Despite the pain, I went in fully expecting them to tell me it was a false alarm so Josh and I were shocked when the nurse came in and said "looks like you are having a baby today...I'm going to take you to the delivery room!" It was the best news I had heard in 9 months.
After about 11 hours of labor (with a GOOD epidural), Isabella Grace arrived at 5:11 p.m. on December 14. I was not surprised when they told me she was a wopping 8 pounds, 5 ounces. I knew I hadn't spent the last 2 months lugging around a little 5 or 6 pound baby...not to mention the many people that kept asking if I was having twins (never a good question to ask a stranger). I can't even describe how beautiful she looked when they first handed her to me. It was completely surreal and still is. Here are a few hospital pictures:
